Terrific dog boarding I was terrified to board my pitt, but the workers here really took her under their wing and spent time with her. I actually returned from holiday with a very happy dog that was obviously well taken care of. I chose the "suite" as it's a bigger room for a bigger dog. I like the TV in there as my pitt watches TV when I'm out the house anyways. The facility was clean and didn't smell like a bunch of dogs at all. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they handled my pitt, I was expecting a phone call at any time saying "come get your dog", but no, they really handled her well and she was treated like their own.

My husband and I were able to go away for the fourth of July. We were very concerned about leaving our little "Charlie" with someone for the first time since we moved to the San Diego area. We asked around and kept hearing the name "The Animal Keeper". After taking a tour and seeing how well the employees interact with the animals we felt we had found the right place.
When we dropped our little fellow off, he went with the young lady without a second thought. Although we were sad to leave him for a week, it sure helped to see he was so willing to go with her. (He is usually a shy dog.)

I called several times during the week to check on Charlie. I was told he was eating well and enjoying playing with the other dogs. I was also told that he and another dog had become fast friends.

When we returned to pick Charlie up I had to believe they had told me the truth. Not only had Charlie gained a little weight he was freshly bathed and smelling great.

The best part is our Charlie was in no hurry to come home with us. I plan to take him back for day care so that he can visit his friend.

The Animal Keeper was a wonderful experience for my husband and me. I cannot recommend it highly enough. My husband and I are older and Charlie is more than just a family dog to us.

Animal Keeper is the best My experience at the Animal Keeper has been great. The folks are so nice and were wonderful with my pets. I can't say enough great things about the Animal Keeper; they are caring, knowledgeable and the place is really clean. I would highly recommend the Animal Keeper to anyone that wants a great place to care for their pets.

I really can't say enough about your Staff at The Animal Keeper on Saxony. They are kind, compassionate and EDUCATED!!

Anyway, your facility always appears fresh and clean and FUN for your 'guests/residents.'  I not so secretly want to jump inside the fence and throw the ball too. There's just so much curb appeal.  So, "kudos" to you and thank you from a satisfied customer. Please convey our family's appreciation to all concerned.

My Pet's first day

Today was my pet's first day at day care, and I wanted you to know what a great experience it was. I was really nervous, I've never left him with anyone, and it was weird handing the leash over to your staff. But they were so nice, we checked in so fast, your staff suggested I call and check on him during the day (which I appreciated), which I did. Later, they were great on the phone and said my pet assimilated well and was playing nicely. The check out staff was equally as kind, my pet was exhausted and fell asleep before we got to the freeway. He's still sleeping...

Thank you for having such a caring staff. Please let them know that an anxious puppy owner will now confidently hand over her dog, and I'll get through my work day knowing he's having a great time and receiving such good care. Thanks again, and hopefully my dog wakes up before he comes to day care again next Tuesday.

Over the years we have used The Animal Keeper to board our (large) dogs when we go on vacation. The one in Poway has an outdoor play area on synthetic turf that allows the dogs to get out and run around. Their prices are competitive and they take good care of your pet.
